On May 23, 2023 (the "Petition Date"), Benefytt Technologies, Inc. and seventeen (17) affiliated debtor (collectively, the "Debtors") filed voluntary petitions for relief under Chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code. The Debtors' bankruptcy cases are jointly administered under Case No. 23-90566 before the Honorable Christopher M. Lopez in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas (the "Bankruptcy Court").
On August 30, 2023, the Bankruptcy Court entered the Order Confirming the First Amended Joint Chapter 11 Plan of Benefytt Technologies, Inc. and Its Debtor Affiliates (Technical Modifications) (the “Confirmation Order”), pursuant to which the Bankruptcy Court approved and confirmed the First Amended Joint Chapter 11 Plan of Benefytt Technologies, Inc. and Its Debtor Affiliates (Technical Modifications) (the “First Amended Chapter 11 Plan”).
