On October 1, 2023 (the "Petition Date"), Heywood Healthcare, Inc. and six affiliated debtors (together, the "Debtors") filed voluntary petitions for relief under Chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code. The Debtors' cases are jointly administered under Case No. 23-40817 in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Massachusetts at Worcester (the "Bankruptcy Court") before the Honorable Elizabeth D. Katz.
On August 23, 2024, the Debtors filed the Second Amended Plan of Reorganization of Heywood Healthcare, Inc., et al., Pursuant to Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code [Docket 977] (the "Plan") and Third Amended Disclosure Statement Relating to the Second Amended Plan of Reorganization of Heywood Healthcare, Inc., et al., Pursuant to Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code [Docket 984] (the "Disclosure Statement").
On September 30, 2024, the Court entered its Findings of Fact, Conclusions of Law, and Order Confirming the Modified Second Amended Plan of Reorganization of Heywood Healthcare, Inc., et al., Pursuant to Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code [Docket No. 1063] (the "Confirmation Order"), which confirmed the Modified Second Amended Plan of Reorganization of Heywood Healthcare, Inc., et al., pursuant to Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code [Docket No. 1040-1] (the "Plan").
On September 8, 2025, the Court entered its Final Decree Closing Certain of the Affiliate Cases as of September 30, 2025 [Docket No. 1370](the "Final Decree"); and its Order Designating Athol Memorial Hospital NMTC Holdings, Inc. as Lead Chapter 11 Case [Docket No. 1372] (the "Designating Order").
