On July 26, 2023, NextPoint Financial Inc. and its subsidiaries (collectively, the "Company") filed for relief under Chapter 15 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code. The cases are pending joint administration under Case No. 23-10983 before the Honorable Thomas M. Horan in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The Company is seeking recognition of proceedings commenced under the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act ("CCAA") in Canada to substantially reduce its debt and best position its leading brands - Liberty Tax and Community Tax - for long-term success.
