341(a) Meeting Information
Remote 341(a) Meetings
Each debtor that files a bankruptcy petition must attend a meeting of creditors ("Meeting"). Usually, these Meetings are conducted in a meeting room at the Bankruptcy Courthouse. Because of the issues with the COVID-19 virus and the national and state declarations of emergency, effective immediately, all in-person Meetings will now be conducted via video conference.
PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT the 341(a) Meeting of Creditors currently scheduled to be held in Room 1450 located at the Robert E Coyle, United States Courthouse, 2500 Tulare Street, Fresno, California will now take place using Zoom. Zoom is free and does not require you to set up an account. It can be accessed on almost any device with a video camera connected to the internet, including smartphones, tablets, and laptops. If you do not have access to internet you may appear telephonically.
Before Your Meeting
Before your meeting date you must complete and return the 341 Identification Affidavit. The Affidavit, along with copies of your original government issued photo identification and your original proof of social security number, must by returned to the Trustee by 3:00 p.m. the business day before the meeting is set. Non-represented Debtors must each complete an Affidavit. Parties must email the completed Affidavit to edmondstvl@gmail.com.
Procedures During Video Conferences (Zoom)
Please Join the Zoom meeting when it is your set time to do so. When your case is called, please speak clearly and loudly as the meeting is being recorded.
During your video conference, please have the following documents in hand so that I can discuss with you, if needed:
1. A copy of your bankruptcy documents (petition, schedules and statements) that you filed with the Court;
2. A copy of the §521 documents that you previously provided to the Trustee (ie tax returns, bank statements);
These are unusual times and we are endeavoring to make this work as best as possible. We will try to exercise patience with you and we ask that you be patient with us as we work to help you meet the requirement of appearing at a 341 meeting of creditors.
If you run into any problems or issues with appearing at your 341 meeting of creditors during this time, please send an e-mail to icetrustee@gmail.com or call (559) 221-2233.
